Richmond VB Women September Training

New season is finally here! Richmond VB adult women teams start training this week. We run National League Div 2 team (NVL2) and Regional London League Team (LVA). If you missed the tryouts, no problem. You can join our club at any time. You are welcome to come to any LVA training sessions to have a go and discuss all options for training and competition.

In September we will be training in various venues on various days as we still wait for confirmations from some new venues. You can check  our locations in Venues in the top menu.

Half Season Review – Indoor National and Regional Teams

Richmond VB is a vibrant club with a strong history in national competitions. It is running 11 adult and junior teams and is committed to developing talent through innovative coaching in an inspirational training and playing environment. This has led to a host of players receiving international recognition. RVB represents London and Surrey and has a thriving community focus, attracting a growing and engaged fan base.

Men’s 1st Team
National League Men’s Super8
Richmond Volleyball & Docklands VB has merged to create a new National League Men’s Super8 team (Volleyball England’s top performing league) and doing well – Won 3 and lost 3 (6th).

U18 Academies
Richmond Boys are 1st in the Men’s National League Div 3 South (won 12 and lost 1)
Richmond Girls are 1st in the Women’s National League Div 3 South East (won 9 and lost 1)

Seven RVB Junior players & a coach represented England Juniors at various 2017 North European Volleyball Championship age group tournaments held in Denmark and England.

London League
Richmond Men are 4th in the Premier League (won 4 & lost 4)
Richmond Women are 3rd in Division Two A (won 4 & lost 1)

Surrey League
Richmond Men are 1st in the 1st Division (won 6 & lost 1)
Richmond Women are 4th in the 1st Division (won 5 & lost 3)

National Juniors
RVB Juniors are competing in all national junior age groups and doing well so far….

Richmond Docklands ease into quarter finals

Richmond Docklands reached the quarter finals of the National KO Cup for the first time in three seasons after a comfortable 3-0 win over non-league Wombourne. The visitors play in the West Midlands local league and had knocked out national league opposition in the first two rounds of this year’s competition. Therefore, Ruth Hoyoake’s side travelled in the hope of doing some more giant killing.
