RVB Women NVL2 : Keep calm and carry on

After a busy Saturday afternoon for a majority of the team playing at the U18 National Cup qualification round, RVB arrived at Aschombe sport centre ready to take home 3 points from Sussex Dolphins to keep pressure on Oxford and Reading.

With 8 games left in the season Richmond Volleyball Club Women Div 2 team carries on with their quest for a play off position as a minimum.

RVB Women NVL2 : Keeping high League position but leaving the Shield pursuit

After a well deserved rest, the team started their very busy schedule with a double header last weekend.

Although the Saturday home game was vs Bristol, the bottom of the league, a long Christmas break meant that RVB needed to focus hard to get an upper hand to secure a 3-1 win. In the first set the strongest starting six did not manage to avoid unforced errors and showed rather lack of determination which resulted in losing 22-25.

NVL 2 RVB Women :Two more small steps for a giant leap to the future

What a weekend it was!  2 wins for Richmond NVL2  team in the League and Shield matches.

In the Saturday regular NVL fixture against Team Essex Trinity, a last minute minor injury to the captain Katie Keefe and Issie Russell’s absence forced Head Coach Giorgio Scatigna-Gianfagna “GSG” to tweak the line-up again. That was probably the reason for a bit nervous start on the Richmond side while the starting 6 were finding their rhythm.
