London Youth Games Thank you RVBers for fantastic indoor results at the weekend

Thank you Junior RVBers for a fantastic 2015/16 indoor season

RVB would like to say a special thank you to all the players, coaches, team coordinators, parents, volunteers & community partners who has contributed to our indoor club success over this past season, and we look forward to working with you all again for next season. We can’t do this without you!

In summary RVB has run 6 junior teams (boys & girls) in Volleyball England National Junior Cup & National Grand Prix competitions and two teams in the National Volleyball League (NVL).

Recognised as one of top three junior clubs in the country we’re now working towards becoming one of six Volleyball England Regional “AASE” Academies.

RVB AGM 2016 – 8 June, Wednesday 8pm, Kingston upon Thames

Richmond Volleyball  AGM will be held on the 8th June 2016 in Kingston upon Thames at the Gazebo by the river. Start 8pm.

Please put the date in your calendar! Agenda will be sent next week to the registered members with proposed amendments to the Club Constitution and nominations for the officers.

All parents of the junior members are invited to attend. If you have ideas and proposals, please send them to the Club secretary at contact@richmondvolleyball.co.uk as soon as possible so we can include them for discussion at the meeting.

Loughborough College & Richmond VB team up to launch AASE Volleyball Academy’

Richmond Volleyball is teaming up with Loughborough College to launch a Volleyball Academy this coming Easter 2016 in partnership with Volleyball England.  

The Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE) will be open to talented 16-18 year old volleyball players, both male and female and will combine practical sessions with academic and life-skill lessons. 

Those in the RVB Academy will study the BTEC Level 2/3 Diploma in Sport (worth up to 85 UCAS points), which covers anatomy and physiology, risk assessment in sport, fitness testing and sports coaching.

RVB Boys Wins First u16 National Crown

Richmond VB boys won the U16 National Final gold medal match 3-0 (25-23; 25;19; 25-20) against Ernest Bevin College Greenhouse at the National Volleyball Centre, Kettering.

The team came to Kettering to make history and they did it! This group are the current U15 National Champions and this year was the Boys’ 2nd season in the National League competing in NVL Men’s Division 3 South.
