Bellos wins England’s first ever Junior Beach Volleyball Commonwealth Games gold medal

Javier Bello and Joaquin Bello (Richmond VB) represented England Juniors and claimed England’s first ever gold medal at the u18 Commonwealth Youth Games Championships in 2017 Bahamas winning against Cyprus in the final.

England Juniors produced a dominant display of attacking volleyball winning all five matches and beating New Zealand (2-0) & Jamaica (2-0) in their pool matches, followed by wins in quarter finals against South Africa (2-0), Semi-Finals against Australia (2-0) and then claimed gold against Cyprus (2-0).

RVB u18 Boys qualify to National Grand Prix Final and qualify to NVL Div 2 South Play-offs.

Congratulations to Richmond U18s Boys who beat Black Country 3-1 in their final group game to top their National Grand Prix Group B with three wins out of three. They then went on to beat EBC Greenhouse 3-0 in the semi-final to set up a final with Boswell School in May.

U18 Richmond VB Boys also finish the NVL season in second place after a 3-0 win to Maidstone VB and secure a promotional play-off place to the Men’s National Division 2 South. 

Congratulations to this team for their best ever national placing. Looking forward to the National Promotional Play-off and National Grand Prix final in May.

RVB u15 Girls qualify to National Finals winning the Southern National qualifiers

Richmond VB girls qualified for the u15 National Finals with very strong performances.  They won all their pool matches 2-0 against South Bucks, Graveney & Malory Eagles, Westminster VC A, & CFGS Greenhouse B progressing to the Semi-Finals at the Southern Divisional Finals held at Leaf Dorset.  Richmond A then won 2-0 against Bishop Llandaff to secure a place in the U15 National Finals (Last 6’s).
