Summer Slamdown a great success raising funds for British Heart Foundation

Richmond VB would like to thank everyone for helping to raise £777.70 funds for British Heart Foundation making the Mixed 4’s Beach Summer Slamdown Festival a great success – in particular, to all the teams and to volunteers who helped out in various capacities on the day.

This event was a sell out and broke all fundraising records. We look forward to welcoming back all volleyball participants and seeing new team entries for 2017.

Luis Bello coaches the England Cadet boys to silver with a team including Joaquín Bello (Best Outside Hitter), Javier Bello (Best Setter), Yoan Kuzzmanov and Noah Goalen. Anna Keefe captains England Cadet girls to gold with Mattea Goalen. Martha Bullen (Best Libero) and Katie Keefe finish runners up. Congratulations to all!

England reach 1/4 Finals CEV U18 Beach Volleyball European Championship.

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Richmond Volleyball players Javier and Joaquin Bello who represented England and travelled to Czech Republic last weekend for the 2016 CEV U18 Beach Volleyball European Championship to secure a place in the quarter-finals. The best ever position for England in any CEV event.

Revealing 2016 RVB 2v2 Summer Series Champions

Top seeds David Rijvers & Luciano Andrade win the Sunday 2v2 Series (Round 7) held at Broom Rd, Teddington Beach Court (SW London).

The Series consisted of 7 tournaments (50 players registered) where players accumulate points held over May to July on the weekends to become Series Champions. We can now reveal the following 2016 RVB 2v2 Sunday Series Champions:

Bellos wins Englands first ever Junior Beach Volleyball NEVZA gold medal

Javier Bello and Joaquin Bello (RVB) represented England Juniors and claimed England’s first ever gold medal at the u17 NEVZA Beach Volleyball Championships in Sweden winning against Norway in the final.

Three other RVB Junior Girls were also selected to represent England Juniors at NEVZA: Anna Keefe, Martha Bullen, & Katie Keefe. A fantastic achievement to all involved.

NEVZA is a competition for northern European nations, which consists of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Faroe Islands, England and Greenland.
