RVB announces 2016 Beach Volleyball Season

Richmond Volleyball & South London League will be starting the 2016 Summer Beach Volleyball season w/c 11th April 2016 and will run weekly programmes until September 2016 held at Broom Rd, Teddington (next to Teddington School).

Andre Montenegro

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that our dear friend Andre Montenegro passed away on Monday, the 23 November 2015.

Everyone who knew Andre will always remember his smile and friendliness, commitment and passion, support and positive attitude, generosity and humour.

He was one of the coordinators of the RVB Open Beach Volleyball Club and through his encouragement and coaching many new players got into volleyball.

We send our deepest sympathy to his family, in Richmond and in Brazil.

We will miss you , Andre!

RVB on the Sand – The season so far….

It has been a good beach season for both adults and juniors at RVB beach venue at Broom Road, Teddington Recreational Ground for all levels and ages, creating many opportunities for the community to be involved. We have seen many new players who have never played beach volleyball at the start of the season improve considerably, it is very encouraging to see their development. It’s great to see so many people enjoying beach volleyball!

RVB would like to say a big thank you to all the players, coaches, parents, volunteers & community partners who have been involved with us this year – we can’t do this without you!

Impressive medal haul at British Junior Beach Volleyball Championships

As Britain’s top juniors battled for national glory, RICHMOND VOLLEYBALL beach players had its strongest results ever at British Junior Beach Volleyball Championships winning 12 medals including 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.

In glorious sunshine, the championships was held over two days in Sandbanks, Poole, Dorset with more than 210 young competitors (100 teams) from all over Britain. A record of 34 RVB players competed in various boys and girls age categories (u12, u14, u16, u18 & u20’s).

U15 National Finals – RVB Boys brings back Gold medal & Girls Bronze

On Saturday 23rd March, the National Volleyball Centre, Kettering played host to the U15 Last 6s National Finals and Richmond VB boys won the medal they hoped for winning all their matches 2-0 against England’s best.
