Richmond Volleyball Beach Volleyball Series held at Barn Elms will begin on Sat 8th and Sun 9th June (for 12 weeks). The tournaments are divided into three programmes plus finals. At the end of the summer the top 16 teams will battle it out for the London Master’s Cup (1st Sept) and prize money worth £200.00.
* (3-a-side – 3v3)
* Beginner/Intermediate/advanced level
* Cost £25 per team per event (series final will be free – top 16 players)
* (2-a-side – 2v2)
* Intermediate/advanced level
* Cost £20 per team per event (series final will be free – top 16 players)
All players will need to pay beach volleyball membership. This is a one-off £15.00 fee per person for the summer season. Membership fee covers admin, equipment and a free match beach vest. 2013 Summer Competition Dates
Series 1 – 9.30am to 5pm
* Saturday’s (3-a-side – 3v3) – 8th June, 15th June, 22nd June (Finals)
* Sunday’s (2-a-side – 2v2) – 9th June, 16th June, 23rd June (Finals)
Series 2 – 9.30am to 5pm
* Saturday’s (3-a-side – 3v3) – 29th June, 6th July, 13th July, 20th July (Finals)
* Sunday’s (2-a-side – 2v2) – 30th June, 7th July, 14th July, 21st July (Finals)
Series 3 – 9.30am to 5pm
* Saturday’s (3-a-side – 3v3) – 27th July, 3rd Aug, 10th Aug, 17th Aug (Finals)
* Sunday’s (2-a-side – 2v2) – 28th July, 4th Aug, 11th Aug, 18th Aug (Finals)
Remember the more tournaments you go, the more points you and your partner/team racks up, the better chance you have to be in the finals. Players / teams will be ranked after each event.
How to enter
The easiest way to enter tournament is to get your own team together and fill out a team registration form. So get your friends and team-mates together – it is open to juniors and adults (beginners/intermediate and advance).
Registration deadline is 4 days prior to the start of competition (pending availability). Email confirmation will be sent out on Wednesday or Thursday to confirm format and playing order.
