Top seeds David Rijvers & Luciano Andrade win the Sunday 2v2 Series (Round 7) held at Broom Rd, Teddington Beach Court (SW London).
The Series consisted of 7 tournaments (50 players registered) where players accumulate points held over May to July on the weekends to become Series Champions. We can now reveal the following 2016 RVB 2v2 Sunday Series Champions:
Javier Bello and Joaquin Bello (RVB) represented England Juniors and claimed England’s first ever gold medal at the u17 NEVZA Beach Volleyball Championships in Sweden winning against Norway in the final.
Three other RVB Junior Girls were also selected to represent England Juniors at NEVZA: Anna Keefe, Martha Bullen, & Katie Keefe. A fantastic achievement to all involved.
NEVZA is a competition for northern European nations, which consists of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Faroe Islands, England and Greenland.
The Premier League 4Sport (PL4S) Regional Junior Beach Volleyball Tournament took place on Saturday 9th July at Teddington Beach Courts (SW London) supported by Richmond Volleyball proved to be a huge success with teams from Arsenal, QPR, Tottenham, Fulham and West Ham Football Foundations.
As Britain’s top juniors battled for national glory, RICHMOND VOLLEYBALL beach players had its strongest results ever at British Junior Beach Volleyball Championships winning 15 medals including 6 gold, 4 silver, and 5 Bronze.
In glorious sunshine, the championships was held over two days in Sandbanks, Poole, Dorset with more than 200 young competitors (110 teams) from all over Britain.
