UKCC Level 1 Assistant Volleyball Coach Course

ukccThe Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Volleyball (L1CCV) is awarded by 1st 4 sport Qualifications and has been developed in partnership with British Volleyball Federation and representatives from the home country governing bodies.

If you are over 16 years of age and want to start coaching volleyball at grass roots level or assist a fully qualified Level 2 Coach at the more advanced sessions, then the L1CCV is  for you. This course is ideal for a teacher,  a parent of a child in a junior team, a youth worker, sports centre staff, a current or ex-player taking on coaching the team or a student studying sports-related subjects.

The course is divided into the following modules:

  • Introduction to Safe and Ethical Coaching
  • Prepare to Deliver Coaching Activities
  • Deliver and Review Coaching Activities
  • Coaching Volleyball

As part of the course you will have a practical assessment on volleyball techniques and a written multiple choice/short answer paper.

As soon as the dates for the course are announced, you can request  an application form by email contact@richmondvolleyball.co.uk . This is a very popular course and fills up quickly. Spaces are limited to the first 16 applicants. We strongly recommend to book places early to avoid disappointment.

The cost represents the actual cost of the course. (i.e. registration and certification, and a 1st4sport Candidate Pack with learning resources) and reflects the fact that we are unable to claim any subsidy for it.

If you need help with financing the course, please note that there might be coaching bursaries available from various organisations. Please check with your club, County or Regional Sports development organisations if you are entitled to apply.
