Richmond Coaches pass FIVB Level 2 with flying colours

Richmond Volleyball coaches David Rijvers and Vera Kenyon successfully completed with flying colours their Federation International Volleyball (FIVB) Level 2 Coaching award (equal to the UKCC Level 4) held at the country’s national volleyball training centre in Kettering (England) running alongside the England men’s and women’s junior training camp.
The FIVB tutors Sue Gozansky and Gustavo Meczyk delivered the most recent trends of the modern game of volleyball via practical and theory sessions, learning about strength and conditioning, tactics, technique and philosophies. All 11 candidates from as far as Japan, Austria, Uganda and England passed the 12 day course having to pass both a practical and theoretical exams. David Rijvers and Joel Banks (Great Britain Men’s Assistant Coach and Head Coach of a Dutch Men’s Professional Volleyball team) teamed up on the course and shared ideas about the future of volleyball in the England.
