Round 5 4v4 Series coming to Gunnersbury Park this Sunday
29th July 2010
Round 5 Richmond Volleyball 4v4 Series is coming to Gunnersbury Park this coming Sunday, 1st August and has grown to 32 teams.
Gunnersbury is jointly owned and run by Hounslow and Ealing councils and is recognised by many as one of the most important parks in the country. The Gunnersbury Park mansions are set within a beautiful 75 hectare (186 acre) Grade 2* registered landscape of exceptional mature trees, open grass spaces and historic buildings including an Orangery, ‘Princess Amelia’s’ Bath house, Gothic Ruins and the Stables.
A great day out for the whole family.
New teams are still welcome to register and challenge the top teams in either the Open Division (for the serious players) or the Mixed Divisions. Anyone can enter a team- it is open to all ages, abilities and gender. Team entry is £20.00 per event. Registration is at 9.30am and 1st serve is at 10.00am.
The concept behind the 4v4 Series is to take volleyball on tour across South West London promoting and increasing local volleyball activity for all levels of the community from novice players to Olympic hopefuls. Teams accumulate points over the 6 events to win ranking points for big prizes.
We also pride ourselves giving you a format with lots of matches and with little down time. Volleyball players just want to play so we offer a minimum of 12 sets which are self-referred sending you home tired but happy! Please note we cannot guarantee your level if you sign up on the day. Book now to avoid disappointment.
Finally, volunteers will be needed helping set-up courts! Many hands make light work! Please support the club - we’ll through in a few beverages and snacks as well!
See you all in the park!
