Fatality just edge-out Team Jim in 3rd round of
the 4v4 Grand Slam Series
5th July 2010
The 3rd round of the Richmond Volleyball 4v4 Grand Slam tournaments was held in Hounslow for the 1st time and was won by Fatality (Open Division) and Tuskers (Mixed Div 1).
The competition has grown again with a total of 29 teams and with three more events to go new teams are still welcome to register and challenge the top teams in either the Open Division (for the serious players) or the Mixed Divisions. Anyone can enter a team- it is open to all ages, abilities and gender.
The concept behind the 4v4 Series is to take volleyball on tour across South West London promoting and increasing local volleyball activity for all levels of the community from novice players to Olympic hopefuls. Teams accumulate points over the 6 events to win ranking points for big prizes.
We also pride ourselves giving you a format with lots of matches and with little down time. Volleyball players just want to play so we offer a minimum of 12 sets which are self-referred sending you home tired but happy!
The next 4v4 Series will be on: Sun 18th July, Fairfield Ground (Kingston), followed by Sun 1st Aug, Gunnersbury Park, and then the finals on Sun 15th Aug, Palewell Common (Richmond). Team entry is £20.00 per event. Registration is 9.30am. 1st matches start at 10am.
