4v4 Series coming to Merton this coming Sunday

The 2nd round of Richmond Volleyball 4v4 grass series tournament is coming this Sunday, 20th June held at Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Field, situated in Motspur Park (Merton) where tournament leaders Sunday Express and IVA is hoping to stand top of their divisions.
The 4v4 Series is open for everyone offering three levels of play for beginners, intermediate and advance teams. The ‘Open’ Division is advance and entries can be men, women or mixed. The 'Mixed' Divisions teams must comprise of 1 female player on court at all times. Teams can compete in 1 or all 6 tournaments and must consist of at least 4 players but can register a maximum of 7 players throughout the series. Registration is at 9.30 am and first serve is at 10.00am. Team Entry £20.00. Winning team at the end of the six series will win prizes and tournament t-shirts.
Richmond Volleyball Events Coordinator commented: “We are pleased to be hosting the event at Sir Joseph Hood which is a great venue as one of Merton’s elite sports grounds and has won the Green Flag Award in 2009, 2008 and 2007.
Come and challenge the tournament leaders! The 4v4 Grand Slam format is different to traditional summer grass volleyball tournaments offering a series of events across London’s green parks not just one weekend.
It's a fantastic opportunity and great value for people of different ages, gender and sporting ability to participate in volleyball and play lots of matches. See you in the Park!”
