Thomas More Take All in u15 South London Finals

Thomas More Boys and Girls teams were both worthy winners in the 1st u15 South London Schools Volleyball Finals held last Monday at Christ School. This was the volleyball showdown for year 10 were the top two boys and top two girls teams from Richmond, Kingston and Croydon qualified to compete in the South London showdown and
progress to the London School Finals held later this month.
In the boys group Thomas More (Croydon Champions) won their matches against Christ School (Richmond champions), Woodcote’s School 2-0 but lost on points to Chessington (Kingston champions). The battle for 2nd place was very close between Christ School and Chessington but it was Christ School in the final game coming on top and secured 2nd place.
In the girls event Thomas More (Croydon Champions), faced Waldegrave (Richmond Champions), Coombe A (Kingston Champions), Coombe B, and Christ School winning all four matches. Christ’s girls finished 2nd in the group and reached the London Finals winning two matches, drawing one and lost one.
Richmond Volleyball Schools Coordinator David Rijvers and Richmond & Kingston Schools Competition Manager Mike Skinner who organised the event would like to
congratulate all the teams for a great final and wish all the best to Thomas More (boys and girls) and Christ School (boys and girls) in the London School Finals.

(1st) Thomas More – 7pts (2nd) Christ's School – 6 pts , (3rd) Chessington School – 5 pts (4th) Woodcote School – 0 pts,
Girls Final Standings
(1st) Thomas More – 11 pts, (2nd) Christ's School – 7 pts, (3rd) Coombe Girls A – 6 pts, (4th) Coombe Girls B – 6 pts, (5th) Waldegrave – 0 pts.
To get involved Richmond Volleyball
runs junior sessions for boys and girls at Tiffin Boys School (Sat 10am), Chessington School (Mon 4.15pm), Coombe Girls School (Thurs 4.30pm) and London Oratory School (Fri 4.30 pm).
