Hounslow Girls have a ball at Sporting Conference

Last Monday UK Beach Volleyball Sporting Champion Denise Austin and Richmond Volleyball took part in the Hounslow Girls Sporting Conference held at Feltham Community College and ran 6 one hour coaching sessions during the day in glorious sunshine.
More than 100 girls from year 8 to 10 participated and all had great fun. The sessions provided practical technical skills and were given tips on basic game tactics and played 2 and 4 a side mini games.
The programme also also showcased 5 others sports and 3 sporting champions (Jenny Pacey – athletics , Emily Drumm – Cricket and Rosalind Brett – swimming).
Richmond Volleyball Schools Coordinator commented, “This initiative was a great success and to see so many young girls enjoying the game was fantastic to see. Richmond Volleyball would like to express thanks to Hounslow SSP and all their team staff, and Hounslow’s Young Sport Leaders, who helped on the day.
