PVC Panthers & Black Bridge Champions of the first South London Local League!

Last Monday, PVC Panthers and Black Bridge celebrated their success as Champions at the end of the South London Volleyball League 2008/09 season.
In a vibrant end of season atmosphere 80 players plus spectators and Stan the Stag watched PVC Panthers beat Richmond Antlers (2-1) and Whitton Warriors (3-0) to take the Division 1 title with 52 points (won 17 and lost 1).
Whilst in Division 2 the battle for top spot was between Kingston Knights and Black Bridge. After 2 closely contended matches it was eventually Black Bridge who took maximum points on the night winning against Teacher Devils (3-0) and Kingston Knights (2-1), and thus winning the title with 48 points (won 15 and lost 3).
Richmond Volleyball wishes to congratulate all teams and volunteers in the
leagues making the league a fantastic success. The feedback has been very complimentary all teams enjoying the fun, sociable but yet competitive league. Trophies will be presented at the start of the Richmond Volleyball Summer League which is going to be held again at Old Deer Park from Tuesday 2nd June at 6.30pm.
For 2009/10 the South London Volleyball League will be expanding to another central location in Kingston adding a further 14 teams (2 divisions). This will create a total of 28 teams across 4 divisions.
Division 1
(1st) PVC Panthers, (2nd) Richmond Antlers, (3rd) Whitton Warriors , (4th) Teddington Tide End, (5th) Brentford Drifters, (6th) Richmond Bucks, (7th) Surbiton Spikers.
Division 2
(1st) Black Bridge, (2nd) Kingston Knights, (3rd) Twickenham Titanics, (4th) PVC Power,
(5th) Hounslow Hot Shots, (6th) Hampton Court Jesters, (7th) Teacher Devils.
