Richmond Volleyball scoops London’s ‘Club of the Year’ award

Richmond Volleyball (a clubmark 2 club) is voted London's top Sports Club by Pro-Active London at their 2nd Annual Awards evening held at Lords Cricket Ground last Friday.
In front of a packed house of 180 distinguished delegates, sponsors and key speakers such as Jennie Price (Sport England’s Chief Executive), Richard Sumray (Chair of the London 2012 Forum) and inspirational speakers Tom James and Liam Archer; Richmond were awarded 1st prize in the 'Club of the Year’, 1st prize in the ‘South London Partner of the Year’ and came runner up in the ‘Inclusive & Active Club of the Year’ awards.
Richmond Volleyball Club Chairman said: "I would like to personally congratulate all the nominees and London’s 20,000 clubs. We overcame tough competition from a huge array of clubs to win the prestigious ‘Club of the Year’ award. It is a fantastic achievement for the club and for volleyball in the capital.
Richmond Volleyball has made significant progress over the last three years and we’re very proud that our efforts have been recognized at the highest level. It’s a testament to all the people involved who share the vision and passion to develop sport and help us grow volleyball locally making it accessible, inclusive and enjoyable for all.’
