Coombe Girls triumphant in u14 Kingston Borough Finals

Coombe Girls were worthy champions in the u14 Kingston Secondary Girls (year 7 to 9) Borough Volleyball Championship Finals held at Tiffin Girls School.
A total of 10 teams (60+ young people) from five secondary schools (Hollyfield, Tolworth, Holy Cross, Tiffin and Coombe) competed.
Coombe A won seven of their eight matches and were closely followed by Coombe B winning six. Tiffin A and Holy Cross won 5 matches each but Tiffin can 3rd on better points difference. The top four teams will now progress to the ultimate ‘Inter-Borough Volleyball Finals’ were they will meet the top four girls teams from the Richmond borough in early April and test their skills again.
Richmond Volleyball Schools Coordinator commented, the girls finals was a great success with highest number of teams being there and the coaching sessions was well attended.
All the teams learned 3 touch volleyball (dig, set, spike), resulting in some great rallies. Thanks goes to all the school teachers, venue host and Tiffin sport leaders who helped on the day as scorers and referees making the event a great success.
