Going Strong - South London Volleyball League!
22nd December 2008
We would like to thank all the teams and supporters who have come out and got behind the South London Volleyball League in its inaugural season. It took off with a great start and produced a vibrant environment and exciting games. At the half way stage the team leading Division 1 is Richmond Antlers and in Division 2 Black Bridge.
SLVL Secretary commented, It was not all straight forward in the beginning and it was a tough job to get everything in place overcoming several obstacles such as creating 10 new teams from our community programmes and for teams to understand the new league format; but I think collectively we have all done a wonderful job in making this league come true.
We’re optimistic about the South London Volleyball League future and have a vision of how to grow the league. There is now even interest in sponsorship and I’m hopeful we’ll get something confirmed for next year season.
