Sport Unlimited Success!

Over 85 young semi-sport people from Richmond Secondary Schools took part in the successful 12 week Sport Unlimited winter term volleyball programme endorsed by Pro-Active South London, Sport England and Volleyball England and delivered by Richmond Volleyball.
It was a great success! The programme enabled Richmond Volleyball to continue building the positive relationships with the schools and several new junior players have joined the club commented Richmond Volleyball Club Secretary. Big thanks goes to Pro-Active South London, Volleyball England, Sport England, and all the community partners who were involved supporting us.
Sport Unlimited is to make a significant contribution to the Government’s target of giving children and young people the opportunity to do 5 hours of PE and sport a week at school and in the community. Richmond Volleyball has been working closely with their National Governing Body Volleyball England to forge new relationships and build on existing ones and strengthen exit routes supporting the government’s target to get one million people doing more sport and make a major contribution to delivery of the Five Hour Sport Offer.
