Overview on Richmond's regional teams for 2008-09 season

For 2008/09 season Richmond Volleyball will have four regional teams competing in London and Surrey Leagues.
Women's Regional Teams
Richmond Volleyball starts this season with a total squad of 18 players in London Division 1 and Surrey
Division 1 teams. After a successful recruitment campaign last summer, the club has welcomed
quite a few new players who have drive and ambition to get to the top in both leagues.
They have also set their sights on entering the National League for next year.
Implementation of the club's development plan will see core players from both teams progressing into NVL squad.
Ladies started well by winning their opening LVA league fixture against Grasshoppers.
Men's Regional Teams
After a very successful past season, both teams gained promotion in the regional leagues
to London Division 1 and Surrey Division 2. Many of the London League players will be also involved in the
National League campaign.They showed their strong side by winning LVA 1st league match against London TH Lynx.
After recruiting several new players Surrey league team has all confidence that they can challenge opposition in the
higher division and will create a good environment for developing the younger talents.
