More than 100 youngsters par-take in Extended Activities

In total 108 youngsters from five Richmond secondary schools (Grey Court, Hampton CC, Orleans Park, Teddington and Waldegrave for Girls) took part in the 10 weeks ‘5 hours extended activities' trailblazer volleyball programme lead by Pro-Active South London and delivered by Richmond Volleyball.
It was a great success! The programme enabled Richmond Volleyball to continue building the positive relationships with Richmond Schools and engage with more local young people to
the sport commented David Rijvers, Club Schools Coordinator. Big thanks goes to Pro-Active South London, Volleyball England, Sport England, and all the community partners who were involved supporting us.
To support the influx of junior players we will be launching in September the Richmond Youth Grand Prix Series offering a number of one day volleyball tournaments for u14, u15, 16, u17 girls and boys held over the winter and spring months. This will also support players wishing to process to higher levels of play with the Richmond Junior teams.
