Chessington boys take the spoils in u13
borough championship finals

Chessington Community College u13 boys claimed victory over Richard Challoner in the first Kingston schools volleyball finals, with both Chessington A and B teams competing for the top spot.
The event involved 8 teams (2 from CCC and 6 from RC) and were divided into two groups of four – each played each other once and the top four teams progressed to the semi-finals. In group A Chessington A and Richard Challenor 1 advanced to the semi-finals winning two of their matches and in group B Chessington B can on top with 3 wins and Richard Challoner 6 winning 1 match but had a better points difference to the other two teams..
Although the semi-finals was predictable with both Chessington teams winning 2-0, the final was be a close encounter and caused an upset. On the day it was Chessington B who were the worthy winners playing more consistent 3 touch attacking volleyball. The 3rd and 4th play-off match was won by Richard Challenor 6 (2-1).
Richmond Volleyball would like to express thanks to Richard Challenor for hosting the borough championships and to Chessington Sports Leaders who helped on the day making the event a great success.
