Richmond short-listed for NGB Club of the Year Awards

Richmond Volleyball (an accredited Volleyball England clubmark club) has been shortlisted for Volleyball England 2008 Club of the Year Award. They will be competing against another 5 clubs to win the first prize of £700 and the runner’s up prizes of £200. This is in addition to their recent nomination to the CCPR awards for best sports club of the year.
The other five finalists for Volleyball England 2008 Club of the Year Awards are: Brentwood VC, Newbury VC, Newcastle (Staffs) VC, Nunthorpe Eagles VC, and University of Birmingham VC. The winner will not be made public until the Volleyball England Awards Evening itself on the 17th and 18th May at the Kettering Conference Centre.
Club Chairman commented; “This is the 2nd time Richmond Volleyball had been short-listed for Volleyball England Club of the Year Award. Our success story is based on focusing on the local community and building strong relationships with several key community partners. Our ambitious vision and vast growth could not have been achieved without the hard work and dedication of devoted and enthusiastic club volunteers. Our sincere thanks go to everybody who has helped Richmond Volleyball become firmly rooted in the local community as a club for all.”
