Christ School hold their nerve in u14 Cluster B Finals

Christ School (Team B) topped their Cluster B Finals in the 2nd of two Competitive Edge u14 Richmond Schools Mixed Volleyball Finals winning all their seven matches with Teddington coming a close 2nd. The event was held at Christ School hosting 50 youngsters (8 teams) from four schools (Teddington, Grey Court, Shene and Christ).
All fours schools received three weeks of coaching from Richmond Volleyball (a clubmark club) preparing them for the competition. On the day each team played each other once over two sets – a total of 28 matches.
The top four teams: 1st Christ B; 2nd Teddington A; 3rd Grey Court A; and 4th Grey Court B; will all be seeded and qualify for u14 Borough Schools Championship Finals to be held on 2nd April 2008 at Mary’s University College
and will meet the top four teams from Cluster A Finals who played last mouth.
Richmond Volleyball would like to express thanks to all the school sport leaders and sport teachers who helped on the day. Without their help the event would not have been so successful. They supported the event with their competent refereeing, scoring and recording duties.

To get involved Richmond Volleyball has an open adult volleyball session in Whitton Sports & Fitness Centre on Sunday’s from 4.30-6pm (junior / beginner’s) and from 6-8pm (intermediate and advance level)
You can also get involved at our Saturday Morning Junior Volleyball Club held at Waldegrave School from 9.00 to 10.00 (8 to 11 years old) and 10.00 to 11.00 am (11 to 15 years old).
