Richmond’s summer tournament receives NGB support
25th March 2008
Richmond Volleyball International Festival Tournament has been nominated as one of the nine National Regional Grass Series tournaments by Volleyball England (NGB).
The event will be held over the Bank Holiday August weekend (22nd to 25th) set in one of the Finest Sports and Social Clubs in the Country (Imber Court Sports Club) which is a 10 minute walk from Sandown Racecourse, 20 min walk from the historic Hampton Court or a 7 minute drive from Kingston-upon-Thames.
The Festival will feature 20 courts (80+ teams), two large clubhouse bars, a beer wagon, outside and inside catering, lots of parking, organised camping and entertainment on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and lots more. The event is three days aimed for all levels of the community from beginner to Olympic hopeful.
Richmond Events Coordinator is delighted with the support from Volleyball England providing a big boost in terms of promotion, right to use Volleyball England and associated logos, resources at the event, and free event licence. Summer outdoor volleyball tournaments are a big attraction for many people playing volleyball and we hope
the Richmond Volleyball International Festival will become a popular tournament for all.
