Orleans Park set high standards in u14 Cluster A Finals

Orleans Park topped their group in the 1st of two u14 Richmond Schools Competitive Edge Mixed Volleyball Cluster A Finals winning six of their seven matches. The event was held at Hampton Community College hosting 50+ youngsters from four Schools (Waldegrave, Whitton, Hampton CC, and Orleans Park).
All fours schools received three weeks of coaching from Richmond Volleyball (a clubmark club) preparing them for the competition. On the day each team played each other once over two sets – a total of 28 matches.
The top four teams (1st Orleans B; 2nd Whitton A; 3rd Waldegrave A; 4th Hampton
B) will now be seeded and will all qualify for Borough Championship Finals to be
held on 2nd April 2008. The surprise team was Waldegrave fielding an all girls team finishing in the top 3. This is first time they’ve reached the finals which is a fantastic achievement competing against some very strong mixed teams.
Richmond Volleyball would like to express thanks to all schools and their sport leaders who helped on the day. Without their help the event would not have been so successful. They supported the event with their competent refereeing, scoring and recording duties.

(1st) Orleans B; (2nd) Whitton A; (3rd) Waldegrave A; (4th) Hampton B; (5th) Orleans A; (6th) Hamtpon A; (7th) Waldegrave B; (8th) Whitton B.
To get involved Richmond Volleyball has an open adult volleyball session in Whitton Sports & Fitness Centre on Sunday’s from 4.30-6pm (junior / beginner’s) and from 6-8pm (intermediate and advance level)
You can also get involved at our Saturday Morning Junior Volleyball Club held at Waldegrave School from 9.00 to 10.00 (8 to 11 years old) and 10.00 to 11.00 am (11 to 15 years old).
