U18 Junior Men thro to 2nd round of Nationals

Richmond Volleyball u18 Junior Men qualified for the 2nd round of National Junior Volleyball Championships by topping their group winning all their matches 3-0.
Richmond’s squad of 9 strong players travelled to Epsom College and all played their part in a great team performance competing against three other London clubs: Latymer VC (Enfield), Epsom College, and London Lynx (East London).
Richmond now looks forward to the 2nd round of the Nationals Junior Championships to be held in Essex on 20th January 2008. Richmond would like to thank Epsom for being great hosts and to the parents who supported the team on the day creating a great atmosphere.

Player of Match: Yutaro Miwa
Most Improved Player of the Match: Martin Minvielle
The special coaches’ award went to Yutaro Miwa for the most consistent play during the day.
How to get involved in volleyball
Richmond Volleyball has an open volleyball session in Whitton Sports & Fitness Centre on Sunday’s from 4.30-6pm (beginner level) and from 6-8pm (intermediate and advance level).
Richmond Volleyball also offer a Saturday Morning Junior Volleyball Club held at Waldegrave School from 9.00 to 11.00 am. Age groups are from 9 to 15 years old.
