24th November 2007
Congratulations went to Grey Court who topped Group B winning all three matches (Christ 2-1, Teddington 2-1 and Shene 3-0).
Teams finishing 2nd, 3rd and 4th all had equal wins but it was Teddington who progressed as the 2nd best team
to u16 Richmond Schools Volleyball Finals.
In association with Competitive Edge, St Mary's University College hosted the 2nd of two cluster borough schools volleyball finals for year 10 and 11.
All the schools were coached by Richmond coaches to prepare the students for the finals. The Cluster B Final involved 50 students and all the teams were mixed and played each other once over three sets showing amazing improvement in technical skills and understanding of the game.
Grey and Teddington now meet Cluster A winners (Hampton) and runners up (Orleans Park) to be played at St Mary’s on 7th December from 12.30 to 17.00pm.
Richmond would like to express thanks to all the school sport leaders who helped on the day and to St Mary’s Students Evan Penglis and Zoe Richard. Without their help the event would not have been so successfully. They supported the event with their competent refereeing, scoring and recording duties.
