Richmond train 25 new level 1 national coaches
10th September 2007
Richmond Volleyball successfully delivered their 2nd Level 1 Coaching course of the year and is proud to announce the creation of 25 brand new Volleyball England Level 1 Coaches. Attendees made the trip from as far as Dorset and Sussex to take part in the course.
Richmond's Development Coordinator made comment on the success of this weekend’s course and would like to thank TASIS for their excellent facilities and hospitality. Although we were a little disappointed in having to turn so many applicants away, it was really exciting to see so many enthusiastic individuals, who will all play such an important role in developing volleyball in our communities”.
Richmond is setting an example and investing in the future of the sport, and in the past year alone have trained over 45 level 1 coaches. The training doesn’t end here though, as on the Wednesday 19th September we’re running a coaching workshop for Teachers, and we’ll be running more courses at the end of the season”.
Richmond Volleyball who have achieved the Clubmark 1* accreditation, are once again expanding their junior programme this year with the creation of an Under 18 National Junior team and an under 15 National Junior Team. With the already existing u16 National Junior Team, Richmond will be very busy and relies heavily on volunteers to work with these development teams.
To get involved Richmond Volleyball has an open volleyball session in Whitton Sports & Fitness Centre on Sunday’s from 6-8pm (intermediate and advance level) and from 4.30-6pm a new beginner’s session.
