Success for Richmond's Summer of Sport

Richmond Volleyball was one of two London volleyball clubs to have embraced the Summer of Sport 2006 programme and the comments from our participants were very positive.
The participants enjoyed the good facilities hosted at St Mary's University College, good coaching, good general organisation, good learning environment, and had fun!
We were pleased on the performance of our summer volleyball initiative which resulted in a number of enquiries about volleyball opportunities particularly from junior participants. Our junior entrants have been inspired by the free introduction of this exciting Olympic sport and are keen to carry on but the cost of continuous participation seems to be a serious obstacle.
We would like to thank London government for bringing together the Summer of Sport to Whitton Volleyball Club and look forward to another exciting initiative next year!
