Whitton Women win 5 set roller coaster

In a London League Premier match Whitton Ladies team entertained White Eagles in a five set roller coaster taking over 2 hours can. It was Whitton who can out on top winning 3-2. Whitton had only 6 players due to injuries, so there were no room for mistakes and some players found themselves playing unusual roles.
It did not affect their determination and Whitton took first set easily 25:10. It looked like the match will be an easy victory for the home team but White Eagles got their focus back and answered in the second set with the strong service which brought them to 25:19. It was time for Whitton to show that they have some extra tricks in store.
Superb blocking and fierce attacks in 26 minutes brought them to victory -25:22. From the start of the 4th set it seemed that Whitton girls are going to claim the game. They took the lead and kept two point ahead till 15:13.It was “now or never” for White Eagles and once again the strongest service gave them so much needed advantage and a set 25:17.
The deciding 5th set did not leave any hope to White Eagles as Whitton dominated with their attacks, excelled in defence and took a set 15:10 and the game 3:2. This victory improved overall Premier league position of Whitton Ladies.
