BBC London Radio interviews London Volleyball
30th January 2006
Representatives from the London Volleyball Association (Cormac J Byrne, Cristina Madeddu and David Rijvers) joined Danny Kelly on the BBC LONDON 94.9FM Monday Evening Sport Show.
The interview was to promoted volleyball and the London Challenge Trophy to BBC London listeners said David Rijvers (tournament
director). This was positive step forward and I hope we can achieve more media volleyball interest in the near future.
The London Challenge Trophy was devised to bring the very best of Volleyball in London, along with other forms of competitions from our younger players, social adults, disabled players and the corporate community. There will also be entertainment to give everyone a great day out at Crystal Place National Sports Centre.
Cormac asked an interesting question to Danny on whether he or his colleagues had played volleyball. He received a surprising response to discover that the BBC London Sport Show do have some volleyball talent among its employees.
We hope with Cristina’s Italian charm that BBC London will be able to enter a corporate team at the 2006 London Challenge on Sunday 9th April @ Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. Events start at 10.00 and will conclude around 18.00 pm.
