Juniors
Richmond Volleyball is recognised as one of London's prominent clubs for youth development. We have achieved Clubmark 2
through Sport England accreditation scheme which certifies that Richmond Volleyball provides safe and structured training environment
and offers a clear pathway for young athletes to develop from school sport to elite level.
Junior players not only learn new skills but also improve general health and fitness, co-ordination, self-confidence, teamwork, not to mention
making new friends and just having fun but
they are able to compete in regional and national junior competitions
in every age category(i.e. u14's u15’s, u16’s
and u18’s).
Richmond Volleyball is actively involved in schools volleyball programmes with the aim to
increase awareness and participation in the sport. Each term we deliver blocks of
school sessions for different age groups followed by competition events. We run Borough Champioships in
Richmond,
Kingston and Hounslow Boroughs and
Inter-Borough partnership finals. Several primary and secondary schools have also benefited
from curriculum sessions with highly qualified and experienced Richmond coaches.
You can check with the Head of PE in your school when volleyball is scheduled.
Richmond Volleyball young members are also encouraged to take an active role in the club and volunteer to help with
officiating, coaching, organising and running community events and tournaments. We also welcome and value
support from players' families. We believe that this plays an important role in the development of any sustainable Junior Club.
