Richmond Festival of Volleyball

Welcome! It’s London’s top out door volleyball event. The three day festival held over the summer august bank holiday weekend is played as a series of 6-a-side competitions (Sat, Sun and Mon) and a 4-a-side (Mon). This great value event is aimed for all levels of the community from novice players to Olympic hopefuls.

Richmond Festival of Volleyball Held at Imber Court Sports Club (SW London) which is 30min on the train from London Waterloo Station. The closest stations are Esher and Thames Ditton. It is 20 min walk from the historic Hampton Court Palace. It is a 7 minute drive from Kingston-upon-Thames and 5 minutes from Sandown Park racecourse.

To enter a team(s) you will need to complete an application form and forward it to Richmond Volleyball with either a deposit of £30.00 per team, or full entry fee. Deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation due to bad weather or any other unforeseen circumstances.

When entering please select appropriate playing level for your team and book early to secure a place in your preferred division. Places will be accepted on first come - first served basis and some divisions will fill up quickly.

Dates: Sat  25th, Sun  26th, & Mon 27th August 2012 (Bank Holiday Weekend)
Venue/Map: Imber Court Sports Club
Age Groups Adults and Juniors
Team Registration Saturday 8.30 - 09.30 am (1st matches start @ 10am)
Format 6-a-side (Sat, Sun, Mon) 6 a side played on 9x9 grass courts - wherever possible there will be 8 or 10 teams in each division. 2 pools of 4 or 5 to ensure every team has at least 4 matches over the two days - 3rd day 2 to 3 matches.
Format 4-a-side (Mon) 4 a side played on 9x9 grass courts - wherever possible there will be 8 or 10 teams in each division. Only played on Monday.
Fri = Camping facilities available from 6pm.
Sat = Day 1 - Preliminary rounds
Sun = Day 2 - Preliminary rounds
Mon = Day 3 - Finals, Semi-Finals and Play-offs
Rules: Normal rules apply with scoring to 25 over 2, 3 or 5 sets depending on pools and timing.

Level National League (NVL) Div 1-2-3 / Regional / Local / Casual
Divisions Men's Div 1 (NVL 1 and 2 ) - 2 pools of 5
Men's Div 2 (NVL 3 & Regional) - 4 pools of 5
Men's Div 3 (Local League and Novice) - 2 pools of 5
Mixed Div 1 (NVL) - 2 pools of 5
Mixed Div 2 (Regional) - 4 pools of 5
Mixed Div 3 (Local League) - 4 pools of 5
Junior 14 - 17 years (Boys and Girls) - 2 pools of 5
Where to stay Camping on site (opens Friday from 6pm till Monday 5pm)
Deposit £30.00 PER TEAM - should accompany application form to secure your team place. The balance of entry fees is payable either by cheque to be received by the organisers by the 24th August at the latest or in cash on the first day of tournament during registration.
Entry Fees £75.00 PER TEAM non-camping (includes: matches, parking, evening entertainment). Early bird offer £50.00 (2 days for 3) book before 1st June 2012
£100.00 PER TEAM all inclusive - matches, parking, evening entertainment and camping.
Non-Players £10.00 p/p for 3 days - camping, parking, use of all facilites and evening entertainment. Children U14 free.
