UKCC Level 1 Assistant Volleyball Coach Course

The Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Volleyball (L1CCV) is awarded by 1st 4 sport Qualifications and has been developed in partnership with British Volleyball Federation and representatives from the home country governing bodies.

The qualification is divided into the following units:
•Introduction to Safe and Ethical Coaching
•Prepare to Deliver Coaching Activities
•Deliver and Review Coaching Activities
•Coaching Volleyball

If you are over 16 years of age and looking for an introduction to working with grass roots volleyball teams; such as: a parent of a child in a junior team, sports centre staff, teacher, youth worker, current/ex-player, adult volunteer and/or student (studying sports-related qualifications) then the L1CCV is idea for you. It will also enable the holder to assist a fully qualified Level 2 Coach.

As part of the course you will have a practical assessment on volleyball techniques in an appropriate environment and a written multiple choice/short answer paper.

This is a very popular course and fills up quickly. Spaces are limited to the first 16 applicants. We strongly recommend that you book places VERY early to avoid disappointment.

1. Course Dates = 15th, 16th and 22nd May 2010

2. Course Dates = 12th, 13th 19th June 2010

3. Course Dates = 4th, 5th 11th Sept 2010

Duration: 3 days (22 hrs guided) + 12 hrs extended activity

The prices reflects the fact that we are unable to claim any subsidy and represents the actual cost of the course. (ie. registration and certification for the qualification, as well as a 1st4sport Candidate Pack, learning resources and certificate).

Please note: there are coaching bursaries you're entitled to and will need to claim from your club, counties and regions. The centre is also exploring grants to help reduce the cost however we cannot guarantee this.
