Last Sunday Oxford was coming to Richmond unbeaten after four games hoping to consolidate their leading position in the league before Christmas. But it was not to be. After conceding the opening set, Richmond team claimed the next 3 and the top spot in the League table.

Playing at home was a welcome break from travelling over 1200 miles to the last 3 games, and Richmond made home advantage count by beating Birmingham 3-1.
Richmond Volleyball first Women’s NVL Div 1 Team traveled more than 5 hours by train and car to reach Sunderland, the furthest venue in this year’s Div 1 fixtures. They came back with a 3-0 win to consolidate RVB league position.
Last Sunday it was a masterclass in speed, power and team spirit for the RVB team from a visiting Super League team London Malory, one of the most established in England.
Visitors took away 3:0 victory and Richmond’s hope to get to the next round in the National Cup.
